Circuit/System Verification

Verify the cooling system is filled to the correct coolant level. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing , and Cooling System Draining and Filling .
- If the coolant level is not correct
  Repair as necessary
- Go to next step: If the coolant level is correct
Verify the DTC P0117, P0118, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, or P0304 is not set.
- If a DTC is set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If a DTC is not set
Verify the following conditions
- Ignition ON
- A/C switch OFF
- Blower fan switch OFF
- ECT sensor parameter is between -10 and 46°C (14 - 115°F)
- Were the conditions verified
  Go to step 4.
- Go to next step: If all the conditions were not verified
  Go to component testing.
Verify the following conditions.
- Engine running.
- Drive vehicle at 32 MPH (50 km/h) or more until the difference between ECT sensor temperature and FTT Sensor temperature is 24°C (75°F).
- Drive vehicle until the ECT temperature is 65°C (149°F).
- Were the conditions verified
  Go to step 5.
- Go to next step: If all the conditions were not verified
  Go to component testing.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
  Go to component testing.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
All OK.
