Component Testing

  1. Remove EVAP canister with EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor attached.
  2. Check if water will drain from the canister ports when the canister is inverted.
    • If water leaks out, replace the EVAP canister.
    • If no water leaks out.
  3. Weigh the EVAP canister assembly with the EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor attached, the weight should be less than 2.1 kg (4.8 lb).
    • If over the specified weight, replace the EVAP canister.
    • If less than the specified weight.
  4. All OK.
