Installation Procedure
- Move the shift selector to "P" position.
- Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
- Install the holder of park lock cable to key cylinder.
- Install the clip (1) in the direction of the arrow (2) and push it in the direction of the arrow (3).
- Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position.NOTE:
When installing the park lock cable, do not bend or twist the cable forcefully.
NOTE:After connecting the park lock cable to the shift selector cable bracket, be sure to check that the casing cap is completely fastened to the cable bracket. If the casing cap is easily displaced, replace the park lock cable
- Install the adjusting holder (1) onto the park lock rod (2), then install the casing cap (3) onto the shift selector cable bracket (4).NOTE:
Do not squeeze the pawls on the park lock cable slider when holding the slider.
NOTE:Do not apply force in a perpendicular direction to the park lock rod when sliding the slider.
- While pressing the detent rod (1) down, slide the park lock cable slider (2) toward the park lock rod (3) side and install the adjuster holder (4) and park lock rod.

- Verify the following upon installation:
- Check the CVT position. If a malfunction is found, adjust the position. Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment
- The key can be removed only when the selector lever is in the "P" position.
- It must not be possible to turn the ignition switch to LOCK when the selector lever is not in the "P" position.
