Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to. Front Bumper Fascia Replacement

Side Object Sensor Front

Procedure

Disconnect the side object sensor electrical connector.
Release the locking tabs on the side object sensor.
The side object sensor is a one piece design. Do NOT twist the sensor cap to try to remove the painted cap.
Remove and replace the side object sensor. Replacement sensor is purchased pre-painted to match fascia/bumper body color.

NOTE:

Do NOT refinish previously painted sensors. Excess paint build up can cause the sensor to be rendered inoperative.
Ensure the silicone decoupling ring is installed on the sensor to avoid sensor failure.
