Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt

  1. Install the wheel speed sensor assembly to the steering knuckle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Secure the wheel speed sensor harness to the clip (1) on the suspension strut.

  4. Secure the wheel speed sensor harness grommets (1) to the brake hose bracket and the suspension strut.
  5. Feed the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and harness through the wheel house panel closeout.
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. From inside the engine compartment, connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  9. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
