Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Positive Extension Cable & Conduit

  1. Install the battery positive extension cable (1) into the harness cable conduit (2).

  2. Attach the battery positive extension cable terminal (2) to the stud on the junction block (3).
  3. Attach the starter solenoid wiring harness cable (1) to the junction block stud.

  4. Install the engine wiring and battery positive cable along with the attached mega fuse, to the junction block (4).
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the battery positive junction block stud (2) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  6. Install the junction block cover (1).

  7. Install the battery positive extension cable retainers (1) to the frame rail.
  8. Position the battery positive extension cable (2) into the plenum passthrough opening.

  9. Install the plenum passthrough stud (1) into the battery positive extension cable (2).
  10. Install the protective sleeve over the battery positive extension cable.

  11. Install the battery positive extension cable (3) to the plenum passthrough stud and tighten the fastener (1) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  12. Install the battery positive cable protective cover (2).
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
