Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Positive Cable, Passthrough Fastener & Cable Cover

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the battery positive cable (1) to the passthrough stud and tighten the fastener (2) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
  2. Install the protective cover (3).

  3. Install the battery positive cable retainers (1) to the floor panel tunnel.

  4. Route the battery positive cable (2) along the body harness conduit and attach the battery positive cable retainers (1).

  5. Slide the battery positive cable (2) into the rear compartment area and attach the battery positive cable retainers (1) to the body harness conduit.

  6. Connect the battery positive cable (2) to the battery and tighten the clamp fastener (1) to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the battery positive cable cover (5).
  8. Connect the battery positive cable connector (3) to the body harness connector (4).
  9. Connect the battery positive cable connector (2) to the accessory relay block (1).
  10. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  11. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Left Side)Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Right Side) .
  12. Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement .
  13. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Split Folding Side Cushion Sedan)Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Split Folding Center Cushion Sedan)Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation (Fixed Back) .
  14. Install the passenger front seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation .
