Installation Procedure

  1. Manoeuvre and install the EVAP line (3) to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE:

    Observe the marked positions for the retainers (2) when installing the retainers (2) to the fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly (5).

  2. Install all the retainers (2) to the fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly (5).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the front fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly protection plate (1) to the vehicle and tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly stone guard to the vehicle.
  5. Install the rear fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly stone guard retaining nuts (1) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

    NOTE:

    Listen for an audible click to confirm correct installation of the EVAP line connector.

  6. Connect the EVAP line connector (2) to the fuel/brake/EVAP pipe/line assembly.
  7. Install the removed heat shields.
  8. Install the engine. Refer to Engine Replacement .
  9. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
