Installation Procedure
- If reusing spark plugs, refer to Spark Plug Inspection .
- Hand start the spark plugs in the corresponding cylinders.
- Tighten the spark plugs. Tighten the engine spark plug on a NEW cylinder head to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) and the engine spark plug on subsequent installations to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Install the spark plug wires. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
- If the left side spark plugs are being serviced, install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
NOTE:
If using NEW spark plugs, do NOT attempt to check gap. Plugs come pre-gapped.
