Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
  2. Remove the high pressure fuel pump shield. Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement 
  3. Relieve fuel pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  4. Remove the foam insulator from the fuel pressure pipes.
    5. Fig 1: High Pressure Pipe Fitting, Left Fuel Rail & High Pressure Fuel Pipe (LLT)

  5. Loosen the high pressure fuel pipe fittings at the high pressure fuel pump (1) and the left rail (3).
  6. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe (2) from the vehicle.

    DISCARD the pipe.
