Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
  2. Remove the high pressure pump shield. Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement 
  3. Relieve the low side fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief

  4. Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting from the fuel feed pipe (2). Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  5. Loosen the fuel feed pipe fitting to the high pressure fuel pump.
  6. Remove the fuel feed pipe bolts (4) from the cylinder heads.
  7. Remove the fuel feed pipe from the engine and high pressure fuel pump. Discard the pipe.
