Circuit/System Verification

  1. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. NOTE:

    The DC Charge Port Temperature should be close to ambient temperature without the cord set plugged in.

  3. Observe the scan tool DC Charge Port Temperature parameter. The reading should be between -40 and +125°C (-40 and +257°F).
    • The reading is not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: The reading is within the specified range 
  4. NOTE:

    Damage can include cracks, breaks, bent pins or missing parts.

  5. Vehicle OFF. Visually inspect the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle and high voltage cables for damage.
    • The receptacle or cables are damaged 

      Replace the X98 Hybrid/EV Battery Charger Receptacle.

    • Go to next step: The receptacle and cables are visually OK 
  6. Verify that DTC P301F does not set while operating the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
    • If the DTC is set 

      Advise the customer to report a problem with the DC fast charge station.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  7. All OK.
