Diagnostic Aids

The internal steering wheel angle sensor does not require a centering often. Centering of the internal steering wheel angle sensor might be required after certain service procedures are performed. Some of these procedures are as follows:

• Power Steering Control module replacement
• Steering column replacement
• Collision or other physical damage to steering or suspension components

Certain steering symptoms can be corrected by performing the steering wheel angle sensor centering procedures such as:

• Poor, or uneven return to center
• Poor, or uneven on center feel
