Replace and Program Control Module or Reprogram Control Module

To program a replacement or an existing control module, perform the following procedure:

1. Using the steering wheel, align and center the front wheels forward.
2. Apply the parking brake, and set the transmission in Park if equipped with an automatic transmission.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4. Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) 
5. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select Power Steering Control Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select Power Steering Control Module - Configuration & Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.
7. Perform the Steering Angle Sensor Centering. Refer to Power Steering Control Module Calibration
8. Clear DTCs.
9. Turn OFF the ignition.
