Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering control module wiring power harness.

    Install the power steering control module wiring power harness clip (2) to the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear housing.

  3. Connect the power steering control module wiring power harness (1) to the power steering assist motor.

    Connect the power steering control module wiring power harness (2) to the main power steering wiring harness (1).

    Install the power steering assist motor wire clip (3).

  6. Position the power steering control module wiring power harness (1) into the 2 retaining clips (2).

    NOTE:

    The proper position of the underbody skid shield is between the underbody splash shield and the front frame.

    Underbody Skid Shield (3) - Install

  8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  9. Underbody Splash Shield Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Underbody Splash Shield (1) - Install

    Underbody Skid Shield Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  12. Front Bumper Fascia Skid Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  13. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  14. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  15. Clear DTCs.
