Removal Procedure

NOTE:
When performing this procedure the latch and front side door outside handle bracket assembly Must be removed from the vehicle to replace the front side door lock cylinder retainer.

Front Side Door Latch (2) - Remove - Front Side Door Latch Replacement

NOTE:
Its not necessary to disconnect the inside or outside handle cables to replace the front side door lock cylinder rod.

Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Rod (1) @ Front Side Door Lock Cylinder - Remove

From the back side of the front side door outside handle bracket, use a suitable tool to push up and down on the inside of the front side door lock cylinder retainer (1) to release the front side door lock cylinder. (2)

Pull the front side door lock cylinder (1) rearward to remove from the front side door outside handle bracket.(2)

From the back side of the front side door outside handle bracket, use a suitable tool to push up and down on the outside of the front side door lock cylinder retainer (1) releasing the retainer from the front side door outside handle bracket. (2)

Remove the front side door lock cylinder retainer (1) from the front side door outside handle bracket.(2)
