Reprogram Image Processing Module
NOTE:
DO NOT reprogram a control module unless directed to by a service procedure or a service bulletin. If the control module is not properly configured with the correct calibration software, the control module will not control all of the vehicle features properly.

Due to continuous improvements, the on screen selections may vary from instructions below.
To reprogram an existing K124 Image Processing Module, perform the following procedure:
- Install the EL-49642 SPS Programming Support Tool to maintain system voltage.
- Connect the EL-52100 MDI 2 Multiple Diagnostic Interface 2 to the computer using a USB cable. Wireless or Bluetooth connections may cause an interruption in the data transfer.
- Ensure the programming tool is equipped with the latest software and is securely connected to the data link connector. If there is an interruption during programming, programming failure or control module damage may occur.
- Ignition / Vehicle OFF.
- Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K56 Serial Data Gateway Module and confirm K56 Serial Data Gateway Module is updated with the latest software.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K124 Image Processing Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Clear DTCs.
