Circuit/System Description
The Key Card system is a method of vehicle access that utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to verify the correct key is presented to the vehicle. Upon presentation, the vehicle will either lock or unlock as well as allow vehicle starting within a 2 minute time limit from when the card was first presented. A user would present their Key Card to the K300 Near Field Communication Backup Module, which is typically located behind an applique. For specific K300 location, a user may refer to the Owner's Manual, or the location is depicted on the Key Card itself.
