The electronic spark control computer, mounted on the air cleaner, uses 7 engine sensors to determine when to fire the spark plugs. See Figure. These include the distributor pick-up coil(s), coolant temperature sensor, carburetor switch, vacuum transducer, detonation sensor, oxygen sensor and charge temperature switch.
