Pulley Bearing Replacement

NOTE: Manufacturer does not recommend pulley bearing replacement for the Chrysler C-171 compressor. Pulley assembly must be replaced if bearing failure occurs.

REMOVE BEARING
With pulley removed as previously described, remove bearing retaining ring (Nippondenso clutch only). Support pulley. Then, use bearing remover to drive out bearing.

Pulley Bearing Remover
INSTALL BEARING
Place dust shield in bearing bore. Support pulley. Then, use bearing installer to drive bearing into pulley. Install retaining ring (Nippondenso clutch) or stake bearing (Warner clutch).
