Electronic Servomotor: Installation

  1. Ensure that shaft flats are aligned within the molded sector lines so the; motor can be installed. If necessary to move motor shaft, use same procedure as for testing.
  2. Align slot in motor shaft with key on end of blend-air door shaft. Press gently on servomotor until both motor housing legs touch heater-A/C unit cover. If excessive force is required to install servomotor, ensure that blend-air door shaft extends LESS than one inch. Repair shaft if necessary. Excessive force can damage servomotor.
  3. With blend-air and servomotor shafts engaged, rotate motor under retaining clip until tab fits under retaining clip and attaching screw holes align. Install attaching screws and wiring harness. Check operation of assembly and install remaining components.
