Semi-Automatic Temperature Control: Description

Semi-Automatic, Temperature Control (SATC) is available on all rear wheel drive models. With this system, driver selects temperature, operation mode, and blower speed. The system automatically maintains the desired temperature by heating or cooling the airflow.

System is a blend air reheat type in which air passes through the evaporator and is routed through or around the heater core. A blend air door proportions the amount of air which passes through or around the heater core to control the temperature of the discharge air. The SATC system automatically positions the blend air door, depending upon push button selector, to maintain the desired temperature level setting.
