Control Head Sliding Resistor

Resistor may be tested without removing from control head. Attach ohmmeter leads to resistor and set control lever to "65". Resistance should be less than 390 ohms. Slowly move lever to right until ohmmeter reads 930 ohms. Control lever should be near "75". Move control lever to right and check for resistance of at least 1500 ohms at "85". Resistance should increase smoothly as lever is moved. See Figure.
