Fuel Supply
An electric fuel pump is located in the fuel tank as an integral part of the fuel gauge sending unit. This pump supplies fuel, at 36 psi (2.5 kg/cm2 ) pressure, to the throttle body assembly.
Power to the fuel pump is supplied by the power module via the Automatic Shut-Down (ASD) relay. The power module is supplied with an operating signal from the distributor. If this signal is not received, the ASD relay is not activated and power to the fuel pump is cut off.
