Oxygen Sensor

This sensor is located in the exhaust manifold to signal the computer of oxygen content of exhaust gases. The voltage output of the oxygen sensor is proportional to oxygen content of exhaust gases. The computer will adjust the air/fuel mixture (vary the time of the duty cycle solenoid) to a level which will maintain operating efficiency of the 3-way catalyst system and engine.
