NOTE:
Both turbo and non-turbo systems use back pressure type EGR systems. A back pressure transducer measures amount of exhaust back pressure on the exhaust side of the GR valve and varies strength of the vacuum signal applied to the EGR valve. The transducer adjusts the EGR signal to provide programmed amounts of EGR under all conditions.
