Throttle Body
The throttle body is mounted on the intake manifold, in the same position as a conventional carburetor. It houses the fuel injector, pressure regulator, throttle position sensor, and the automatic idle speed motor.
Air flow control is via a throttle blade in the base of the throttle body, which is operated by conventional throttle linkage from the accelerator pedal. The throttle body chamber provides for the metering, atomization and distribution of fuel into the incoming air stream.
