Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Release fuel system pressure. Disconnect battery negative cable. Disconnect fuel injector wiring connector and 6-way throttle body connector.
  2. Remove ground wire from 6-way connector. Remove air cleaner hose, throttle cable and speed control and transmission kickdown cables (if equipped).
  3. Remove return spring and vacuum hoses. Loosen fuel intake and return hose clamps. Using a shop towel, twist and pull off each hose.
  4. Remove throttle body mounting screws. Lift throttle body from vehicle.
