Dr24 - (All), Logic Module Controlled Component Check

  1. Connect the DRB to the engine harness connector. Place system in ATM Test Mode, code 04. Radiator fan should turn on and off every 2 seconds. If not, check to see if fan relay is clicking. If it is, repair circuit to radiator fan motor. If relay does not click, replace it. If fan operates properly, hold ATM button until code 05 appears on models with air conditioning. If code 07 appears on models without air conditioning, proceed to step 3.
  2. When test code 05 appears, A/C cut-out relay should click every 2 seconds. If not, replace relay. If clicking is heard, press and hold ATM button until code 07 appears.
  3. When code 07 appears, you should hear canister purge solenoid clicking. If not, replace solenoid. If it clicks, proceed to Driveability Test 25 for non-turbo models. On turbo models, press ATM button until code 08 appears. You should then hear EGR solenoid clicking. If not, replace EGR solenoid. If clicking is heard, press and hold ATM button until code 09 appears.
  4. When code 09 appears, you should hear wastegate solenoid clicking. If not, replace solenoid. If clicking is heard press ATM button until code 10 appears. When code 10 appears, barometric read solenoid should be clicking. If not, replace solenoid. If clicking occurs, proceed to Driveability Test No. 25.
