EGR Solenoid
EGR solenoid, located in solenoid bank, may be identified by White dot. Logic module controls EGR valve by grounding EGR solenoid until engine temperature reaches 70°F (21°C). At this temperature, solenoid ground is removed. Ported vacuum will then pass to EGR valve, allowing recirculation.
No recirculation occurs during idle or wide open throttle operation as solenoid is energized and stops EGR valve operation.
