EGR Control Valve

EGR control valve compensates for the effect the EGR system has on driveability. The EGR system increases EGR flow during high load operation and decreases flow during low load operation. No EGR operation takes place at idle or wide open throttle. Three types of EGR valves are used. See Fig 1 .
