EGR System

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose (Green-striped) from throttle body. Connect a hand vacuum pump to vacuum hose.
  2. Start engine. Let idle. With engine coolant temperature 122°F (50°C) or less, apply vacuum. Vacuum should bleed down.
  3. With engine coolant temperature 185°F (85°C) or more, apply 1.7 in. Hg vacuum. Vacuum should hold. Apply 7.5 in. Hg vacuum. Engine should exibit slightly unstable idle condition.
