Boost Pressure Control System

  1. Remove Yellow-striped vacuum hose from wastegate actuator. Connect vacuum pump to disconnected Yellow-striped hose and leave connected throughout testing procedure.
  2. Disconnect Black vacuum hose from air intake pipe located between intercooler and injection mixer. Plug air intake pipe nipple and start engine. With engine idling and Black hose end open, apply vacuum to Yellow-striped hose to ensure vacuum bleeds down.
  3. With engine idling, plug Black vacuum hose and apply vacuum to Yellow-striped hose to ensure vacuum holds. With engine speed at 4000 RPM and Black vacuum hose plugged, apply vacuum to Yellow-striped hose to ensure vacuum bleeds down.
  4. If vacuum does not hold when specified, check vacuum hoses and wastegate solenoid valve for damage.
