Clutch Drive Test

While holding clutch drive housing, rotate pinion gear. Drive pinion should rotate in one direction only. If drive pinion rotates in both directions, or if pinion gear teeth are worn or burred, replace drive unit. Ensure flywheel teeth are NOT damaged before installing starter.
