Entering On-Board Diagnostics: Notes

  1. Before entering on-board diagnostics, refer to PRETEST INSPECTION. Turn ignition off. Attach appropriate cartridge to DRB-II. Connect DRB-II to CCD bus diagnostic connector. See Figure.
  2. Turn all accessories off. Turn ignition switch to ON position. All character positions will glow and copyright information will appear on DRB-II screen for a few seconds. Display will then change to DRB-II menu.
  3. If DRB-II displays an error message or screen is blank, refer to BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS tests. See VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS TESTS . Always start at TEST 1A: BLANK DRB-II MESSAGE SCREEN.
  4. The following DRB-II modes can be accessed from DRB-II menu: VEHICLES TESTED, HOW TO USE, CONFIGURE and SELECT SYSTEM.
