TEST 12D - Door Handle Switch Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS Section.
  1. Connect a jumper wire between body controller case and ground. Body controller is located behind right kick panel. If DRB-II does not display DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, replace body controller. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If DRB-II displays DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, disconnect jumper wire.
  2. Remove left front door trim panel. Disconnect illuminated entry switch connector. See Figure. Connect a jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (White wire) and ground. If DRB-II does not display DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, repair open White wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
  3. If DRB-II displays DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, disconnect jumper wire. Connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 1 (White wire) and No. 2 (Black wire) of illuminated entry switch connector. If DRB-II does not display DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 . If DRB-II displays DOOR HANDLE CLOSED, replace left front door illuminated entry switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
