Activating System
Reconnect the negative battery cable. From passenger side of vehicle, turn ignition on. Observe the air bag warning light. Warning light should come on for approximately 6-8 seconds and then go out, indicating system is functioning properly. If the warning light fails to glow or if it continuously glows, a system malfunction exists. Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
NOTE:
Complete system deactivation should be performed when Air Bag Restraint System (ABRS) is not functioning properly and vehicle needs to be driven.
