Test 12D - Left Door Handle Switch Circuit
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
at end of article.
- Remove left front door trim panel. Turn ignition off. Disconnect illuminated entry switch connector. See Figure . Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (White wire) and ground.
- Using DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on terminal No. 16 (White wire) of Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open White wire between BCM and left front door illuminated entry switch.
- If resistance is less than 5 ohms, connect jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (White wire) and terminal No. 2 (Black wire) of illuminated entry switch connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace left front door illuminated entry switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
