Test 13A - Right Door Handle Switch Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Turn ignition off. Ensure courtesy lights are off. Actuate illuminated entry system by lifting right front door handle. If courtesy lights are on, illuminated entry system is operating properly. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If courtesy lights are off, disconnect right front door jamb switch to keep courtesy lights from coming on.
  2. Remove right front door trim panel. Disconnect illuminated entry switch connector. See Figure . Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (White wire) of illuminated entry switch connector and ground. If courtesy lights are off, repair open White wire between Body Control Module (BCM) and right front door illuminated entry switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  3. If courtesy lights are on, disconnect jumper wire. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (White wire) and terminal No. 2 (Black wire) of illuminated entry switch connector. If courtesy lights are off, repair open Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If courtesy lights are on, replace right front door illuminated entry switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
