Test 19A - Electronic Instrument Cluster Warning Light
DIAGNOSTICS
- Check for Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning light problems. If ABS warning light problem exists, see appropriate ANTI-LOCK BRAKES article in the BRAKES Section.
- If ABS warning light problem does not exist, check for AIR BAG warning light problems. If AIR BAG warning light problem exists, see AIR BAGS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT Section.
- If AIR BAG warning light problem does not exist, turn ignition off (engine off). Using DRB-II, actuate sequential light test. Test should light, then turn off washer fluid, door/deck, CHECK ENGINE, seat belt and BRAKE warning lights. If all 5 warning lights do not come on, go to TEST 19B.
- If all 5 warning lights come on, determine which warning light is not operating properly. If washer fluid warning light is inoperative, go to TEST 59A . If door/deck warning light is inoperative, go to TEST 19C . If CHECK ENGINE warning light is inoperative, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
- If seat belt warning light is inoperative, go to TEST 20A . If BRAKE warning light is inoperative, go to TEST 21A . If any other warning light (not associated with body control module) is lit, see appropriate ELEC INSTRUMENT PANEL article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT Section.
