Test 26B - EVIC Head Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article. Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
  1. Using DRB-II, select system test and read engine controller status. If DRB-II does not display ENGINE CONTROLLER: ACTIVE ON BUS, go to TEST 97A  .
  2. If DRB-II displays ENGINE CONTROLLER: ACTIVE ON BUS, disconnect DRB-II from Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) bus data link connector. Connect DRB-II to engine data link connector. Using DRB-II, read engine faults.
  3. If DRB-II displays SPEED SIGNAL FAULT, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. If DRB-II does not display SPEED SIGNAL FAULT, disconnect DRB-II from engine data link connector. Reconnect DRB-II to CCD bus data link connector and retest Body Control Module (BCM) system. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
