Test 2B - Diagnosing Lock Signal To Body Control Module
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
at the end of this article.
- Using DRB-II, stop door lock actuation test. Remove key from ignition switch. Using DRB-II, read key in ignition switch status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to TEST 47A .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary.
- Check voltage on terminal No. 4 (Orange/Violet wire) of BCM Black connector and observe DRB-II while locking doors using left door lock switch. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If voltage is less than 10 volts, check door lock wiring and/or door lock switch.
