Test 35A - Left BRAKELIGHT Out

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Remove and inspect left lower/inner brakelight bulb. Check bulb socket condition, and clean or repair as necessary. If bulb is bad, replace bulb. If bulb is okay, put DRB-II in voltmeter mode. Turn ignition on. Check voltage of Dark Green/White wire terminal in bulb socket. Depress brake pedal. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Black wire.
  2. If voltage is less than 10 volts, reinstall bulb. Disconnect light outage module 14-pin connector. See Figure . Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 2 (Dark Green/Red wire) and terminal No. 3 (Dark Green/White wire) of light outage module 14-pin connector.
  3. Depress brake pedal. If left lower/inner brakelight comes on, replace light outage module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If left lower/inner brakelight does not come on, repair open Dark Green/White wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
