Test 3F - Automatic Door Locks With Remote Keyless Entry

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS at the end of this article.

Using DRB-II, stop door lock actuation test. Turn ignition off. Disconnect remote keyless entry module connector. See Figure . Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Remove door lock and unlock relays. Relays are located behind right side of glove box. See Figure . Check condition of connectors, and clean or repair connectors as necessary.
With DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of Orange/Black wire at door lock relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Orange/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace door lock relay. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
