NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Turn headlight switch off. Turn ignition off. Disconnect headlight door motor connector. Connector is located behind center of front grill. Check resistance of Brown/Orange wire terminal of headlight door motor connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to step 4).
  2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, use an external ohmmeter to check resistance between Dark Blue/Orange wire terminal of headlight door motor connector and Dark Blue/Yellow wire terminal of headlight door open relay connector.
  3. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Dark Blue/Orange wire or Dark Blue/Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace headlight door motor. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  4. Disconnect headlight door close relay. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between Brown/Orange wire terminal of headlight door motor connector and Brown/Yellow wire terminal of headlight door open relay connector.
  5. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Brown/Orange wire or Brown/Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  6. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, put DRB-II in ohmmeter mode. Check resistance on terminal "E" (Black wire) of headlight door close relay connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace headlight door close relay. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black (ground) wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
