Test 64B - Headlight Doors Will Not Close

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Access headlight time delay relay. See Figure . Backprobe terminal "E" (Red/Violet wire) of headlight time delay relay connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Red/Violet wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  2. If voltage is less than 10 volts, remove headlight time delay relay. Check relay connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Check voltage on terminal "B" (Pink/Light Green wire) of headlight time delay relay connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace headlight time delay relay. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  3. If voltage is less than 10 volts, access headlight switch 9-pin connector. With headlight switch off, backprobe terminal "P" (Pink/Light Green wire) of headlight switch 9-pin connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Light Green wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace headlight switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
