Test 74C - Left Front Door Ajar With Visual Message Center

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Access vehicle theft alarm module. See Figure . Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 13 (Tan/White wire) of vehicle theft alarm module connector. DO NOT  disconnect vehicle theft alarm module connector.
  2. Using DRB-II, read vehicle theft alarm door ajar status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, repair open Tan/White wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  3. If DRB-II does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, turn ignition off. Disconnect vehicle theft alarm module connector. Check connector, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If connector is okay, replace vehicle theft alarm module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
