Test 7A - Left Front Door Jamb Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Using DRB-II, stop courtesy lights test. Disconnect left front door jamb switch connector. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary.
  2. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 2 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Yellow wire) of left door jamb switch connector. If courtesy lights are on, replace left front door jamb switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If courtesy lights are off, disconnect jumper wire.
  3. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 3 (Yellow wire) of left front door jamb switch connector and ground. If courtesy lights are on, repair open Black wire between ground and left front door jamb switch connector. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If courtesy lights are off, repair open Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
