Test 90A - Power Door Unlock Signal

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Turn ignition on (engine off). Manually lock all doors. Unlock doors using power door lock switch. If doors do not unlock, repair power door lock system as necessary.
  2. If doors unlocked, disconnect Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) module. See Figure . Using DRB-II, actuate power door lock test. While door lock test is running, use DRB-II in voltmeter mode to check voltage on terminal No. 16 (Pink/Violet wire) of VTA module connector.
  3. If voltage is not pulsing between zero and 12 volts, repair open Pink/Violet wire between VTA module and power door unlock relay. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If voltage is pulsing between zero and 12 volts, replace VTA module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
