Mechanical Instrument Cluster

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1993 Dodge Daytona and 1993 Chrysler LeBaron. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Mechanical instrument cluster operates independently of the body controller with the exception of the seat belt warning light, low fuel warning light and the check gauges light. Body controller turns seat belt warning light on for about 6 seconds when ignition is turned on.

When fuel level drops to approximately 2.8-3.2 gallons (including tank reserve), body controller turns on low fuel warning light. The check gauges warning light is turned on by body controller when Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) issues a high temperature warning or a charging system failure via the CCD bus system.
